About Wetlands and Human well-being Slogan Contest

World Wetlands Day is observed every year on February 2nd all over the world. It is celebrated to raise global awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and our planet. This day also marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on February 2, 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar. This year’s theme of World Wetlands Day is “Wetlands and human well-being”, which highlights the importance of conservation and sustainable use of wetlands for the human well-being.

Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in collaboration with MyGov is organizing Wetlands and Human well-being Slogan Contest. This activity would create awareness about and encourage the citizens of the country, especially the students about the conservation of wetlands.

Participants need to provide a slogan of maximum 30 words on wetlands in Hindi/English.

Certificates and the following prizes

1. Prize for the winner: INR 10,000/-
2. Second prize for Runner up: INR 5,000/-
3. Third prize for Second runner up: INR 3,000/-
4. Consolation Prizes (2) – 1,000/- each
