Admission Notification For MCA Programme – 2012

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the full-time MCA programme 2012-2015, at Mesra and its Extension Centres at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur and Noida. Please see our website for MCA Information Brochure 2012 for details of eligibility, application procedures, syllabus of Entrance Test, fees, Online Application Form and addresses of Centres.

Eligibility:

Candidates must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3), in any of following: (1) Bachelor of Computer Applications (2) B.Sc. in Comp Sc/ Inf Tech / Electronics (3) B.Sc. with Maths / Stats at graduate level. Candidates must have minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation (candidates must see website for details). Candidates graduating in 2012 can apply, provided they can submit mark sheets by 31 October 2012. Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if they have already passed the programme. Selection Procedure: Online Entrance Test on 19 and 20 May 2012 at Allahabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, Patna and Ranchi. Provisional selections will be based on performance in the Test of candidates who have applied and fulfill the eligibility criteria. Further notifications will be displayed only on our website. No separate intimations will be sent to candidates.

How to Apply: To apply for the programme, eligible candidates must fill in the online application form on our website and Download the Bank Challan Form (SBI/ICICI) from our website to deposit the application fee for Rs.2,000/- (Rs.1,200/- for SC/ST) (non-refundable) in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology” in a SBI / ICICI bank and enter the Challan number and other required details of the payment as issued by the bank within the given time period. Printout the completed form and send with requisite enclosures to the office of Dean Admission & Academic Coordination, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi – 835215 by 16 April 2012.The link for filling the online form will be active from 9 am on 1 Ma rch 2012 to 7 pm on 10 April 2012.

NB: The link for the online form for MBA 2012 will be active upto 22 March 2012. The Institute will shortly notify procedures for admissions to IMBA, IMCA,IMSc, M.E., M.Pharm,M. Tech, M.Sc. and other PG programmes.
