A joint meeting of the directors of the six Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and the chairpersons of the Common Admission Test (CAT) group held at the IIM – Ahmedabad premises on Monday decided to hold the CAT for 2007 admissions on November 19 (Sunday) this year.

Briefing media persons after the meeting, IIM-A director Bakul Dholakia said the CAT group also decided to announce the final results for admissions to the June 2006 batch on Wednesday. He said the results were ready.

The CAT centre, which was Ahmedabad hitherto, would move to IIM, Bangalore from August this year, he added. Mr.Dholakia said all the six directors would jointly protest against the Centers move to levy service tax on the IIMs., which was imposed considering the institutions to be manpower recruitment agencies.
