VIT Vellore Conference on Materials, Manufacturing and Modelling

ASME-VIT is a Mechanical Engineering student chapter in VIT, Vellore. It was established in 2010 with the help of officials from ASME-INDIA. Our vision is to preach knowledge about the practical applications of Mechanical Engineering concepts, provide a platform for students to develop and showcase their technical skills and most importantly; develop a network of professionals working in the industry. In order to accomplish our vision, ASME-VIT has successfully organized symposiums like INERTIA-2013, MECHNOVATE-2015, ASME GT INDIA Conference-2015, HPVC-2016, SPDC-2016, MECHNOVATE-2016, 2018 and 2020. ASME – VIT had the privilege of organizing the Asia – Pacific, E-Fest 2019 which is considered as one of the flagship events of ASME. ASME-VIT has also won the Outstanding Student Section Award granted by ASME-INNTERNATIONAL at Asia-Pacific level in August 2016 for its perseverance and overwhelming outreach. ASME-VIT will continue its legacy of success and scale new heights in the years to come

International Conference on Materials, Manufacturing and Modelling (ICMMM) is a three day technical event that provides a platform for leading researchers, academicians and industry experts to come together and exchange knowledge and views on global changes in materials, manufacturing and modelling. This event is being jointly organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC), VIT in association with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Chapter, VIT. It is being planned to organize this event once in every two years and ICMMM – 2021 will be third in the series which is being scheduled for 19th to 21st March 2021. ICMMM 2021 will be organized by VIT Vellore in association with University of Utah, USA, Liverpool John Moores University, UK and University of Tours, France.

University of Utah is a public institution that was founded in 1850. It has a total undergraduate enrolment of around 25,000, its setting is urban, and the campus size is 1,535 acres. It is located on the east bench of the Salt Lake Valley, close to the Wasatch Range and approximately 2 miles east of downtown Salt Lake City. University of Utah is ranked #104 in National Universities. The University of Utah is a public research university in Salt Lake City, Utah. As the state’s flagship university, it offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and more than 92 graduate degree programs. The University of Utah Asia Campus opened as an international branch campus in the Incheon Global Campus in Songdo, Incheon, South Korea in 2014. Three other European and American universities are also participating. The Asia Campus was funded by the South Korean government

CONFERENCE THEME

Parallel technical sessions will be conducted on different themes on materials, manufacturing and modelling. While the following list is a general guideline for authors, there is flexibility and prospective authors may suggest and include contribution on alternative topics in related fields. All submitted manuscripts will undergo a peer review process to ensure high quality of international standard.

Rates: INR 450 for 1 night per head (Inclusive of Taxes)
Check-in: not earlier than 18th March 2021 (evening)
Check-out: not later than 21st March 2021 (evening)

• The number of beds on campus at VIT dormitories is limited. You must book as soon as possible.
