Grant, awards, and mentoring for finest young filmmakers of the country

The Hyphen Media is a citizen action platform for youth. It aims to transform youth into active citizens and changemakers for the betterment of communities, country and planet.

Introduction

Ciné Impact Fellowship aims to identify and nurture next generation of filmmakers for independent storytelling on social issues. The Fellowship offers support to emerging filmmakers with mentorship and grant for making documentaries.

The best 10 film-making teams from around the country will be selected through a national short film competition and guided to make documentary movie on social interventions.

Each team will attempt at documenting impact brought by initiatives.

Even though the films produced will be vastly different from each other, the underlying leitmotif is an effort to articulate filmmakers’ tryst with socio-economic issues either directly or tangentially. Each film will explore different elements– whether social, economic or cultural.

Competition

Teams will be selected through a Short Film Competition run on The Hyphen. They will be asked to submit their films made on social issues to be evaluated by our esteemed Jury.

Eligibility

• Age: Under 25 years
• Nationality: Indian
• Duration: 3-20 minutes
• Language: English and Hindi
• Should be based on original script
