Applications are invited for following purely project based temporary positions under various projects at Himachal Regional Center of the Institute. Candidate having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic records and experience may send their complete application in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) with all supporting documents to the undersigned by e-mail (headhrc(at)gmail.com, rksingh(at)gbpihed.nic.in) on or before 12 August, 2020. It is essential to mention the position with serial no. and name of the project applied for in the subject line of e-mail and also in the application form. The shortlisted candidates will be informed separately about the date of interview. The interview will be held through virtual mode (Audio/Video).

2.	Junior Project Fellow (JPF) (01 No.) @ Rs. 20,000/- PM + HRA per month as per the Institute norms Age Limit: 28 years	First class Master Degree in Rural Development/ Operational Research/ Environmental Science/ MSW/ Sustainable Development/ Computer Application/ Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized university	Preference will be given to the candidate having experience/ knowledge of field survey, sampling, census/SHG study, training and capacity building, economic & social survey, data collection, syntheses and technical report writing, rural enterprise development, natural resource based income generating activities, good computer skills, development of web based software for rural settlement, village kiosks	In-house Project-2: Community Driven Eco-smart Model Village Development to Improve Livelihoods and Foster Ecological Security in the Himalaya
3.	Junior Project Fellow (JPF) (01 No.) @ Rs. 20,000/- PM + HRA per month as per the Institute norms Age Limit: 28 years	First class Master degree in Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Science from a recognized university	Preference will be given to the candidate having field exposure; good report writing and computer skills.	In-house Project-3: Fostering Climate Smart Communities in the Indian Himalayan Region
4.	Junior Project Fellow (JPF) (01 No.) @ Rs. 20,000/- PM + HRA per month as per the Institute norms Age Limit: 28 years	First class Master degree in Botany/ Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Bioscience/ Medicinal and Aromatic Plants from a recognized University	Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in plant ecology, plant taxonomy, ex-situ and in-situ conservation, medicinal plant cultivation, PBR preparation, RS-GIS application, organization of meetings & training programs, data analysis, report writing/ presentation skills and capable of carrying out field research in higher altitude regions	In-house Project-4: Mainstreaming Himalayan Biodiversity for Sustainable Development
5.	Field Assistant (FA) (01 No.) @ Rs. 12,000/- per month fixed Age Limit: 45 years *	Graduation (or) Intermediate with 5 years experience in assisting R&D based projects in the Indian Himalayan Region	Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in field survey; organization of meetings/trainings, typing (Hindi & English) and computer skills. Age Relaxation: Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/Women/PH and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms.

* Relaxation in Age Limit up to 50 years will be allowed to the candidates (for Field Assistant) who have worked in GBPNIHE for at least 10 years in concerned field.
