Job Purpose

Assist faculty and post-doctoral fellows in research mainly related to the India Working Survey (IWS) project, a collaborative project between Azim Premji University and Indian Institute for Management Bangalore (see https://cse.azimpremjiuniversity.edu.in/cse-surveys/india-working-survey/)

Job Location

School of Arts and Sciences, Sompura, Sarjapur, Azim Premji University, Bangalore

Qualification and Experience

* Master’s in economics

* Knowledge of statistical software such as STATA or R is required. Familiarity with a programming language such as Python is a plus.

* Experience working with economic datasets such as the NSS, IHDS etc preferred. Familiarity with the principal problems and the structure of the Indian economy is also desired.

Compensation: Contractual payment Rs. 32,000 to 35,000/ per month (Based on Experience and Qualification).

Duration of the Assignment: The Research Associate contract is for the period for one year.
