Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of Two (02) Projectlinked Junior Research Fellow purely on temporary basis to work in the project titled “Distributed Cognitive System for Healthcare funded by the MeitY, Government of India and to be carried out in the Machine Intelligence Unit of the Institute, Kolkata.

Qualifications

M.E / M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Sciencel Electrical Electronic Engineering/ Information Technology or M.Sc. in Statistics Mathematics/ Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science. (i) Good knowledge in Computer Programming (C/C++/Java). (ii) All through First Class.

Pay

Pay of31000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand only) plus HRA as per rules of the Institute.

Tenure of Appointment

The appointment will be initially for one year from the date of his/her joining the Institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.

Age

The age limit is 35 years as on 01 August 2020, with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and differently abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to Outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.

Candidates having higher qualification and relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Candidates appearing for the final year of required degree may also apply given they can produce their relevant maintaining certificates by 30 September 2020. Selection of shortlisted candidates will be through written test and/or interview with of all preventive measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Global epidemic as directed by the Government of India.
