Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following project positions.

Name of position: Junior Research Fellow (01 position)

Project title: Deciphering the role of DZIP3, a RNA binding E3-Ligase in innate immunity and viral restriction

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA@16%

Eligibility: Candidates having M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects such as Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Microbiology with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point (50% for OBC/ST/SC) are eligible to apply. Candidates should have also qualified NET-JRF/NET-LS/GATE. The project requires extensive handling of mice.

At least 2 year of experience in handling mice is preferred for this position.

Age Limit: The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 27.01.2022. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Name of position: Research Associate-I (01 position)

Project title: Harnessing the potential of marine bio-resources from Odisha coast for development of therapeutic products.

Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- + HRA@16%

Eligibility: Ph.D. in any branch of Life science. The project requires extensive experience in virus handling, molecular biology and mice experiment. At least 4 year of experience in handling mice is preferred for this position. Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an online interview process.
