Senior Research Fellow (SRF) & Research Scientist vacancy in Metabolic Engineering Group

Researchers from microalgae, microbiology, plant biology and biochemistry background are required for metabolic engineering of algal cells to enhance the productivity. The grants are supported by the Government of India funding agency and Private sector to contribute in the thrust area of algal bioenergy and bioremediation using innovative synthetic biological approaches.

Eligibility for SRF: MSc/MTech in Life Sciences/Biotechnology with NET/GATE

Eligibility for Research Scientist/RA-III: PhD in Life Sciences/Biotechnology

Duration: 1-2 years

Deadline: 30 November 2020

Prior experience: Wet lab and molecular biology research experience using microorganisms and algae.

Job nature: In-silico designing of vectors, DNA cloning, Genetic transformation of microorganisms, PCR, RT-PCR, ddPCR, GC-MS, Southern blot analysis, DNA sequencing, outdoor cultivation of algae in photobioreactors, and in-vitro maintenance of transgenic algal cultures etc.
