APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP

Partnering Academic Industrial Research (PAIR) is a unique scheme of Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) initiated to encourage partnership in high quality collaborative research between R & D institutions, academia and industry. Under the scheme, a post- doctoral programme for two years is designed with collaboration from M/s. Thejo Engineering Limited, 41, Cathedral Road, 3rd floor, V D Swami Building, Chennai, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and KSCSTE to develop petroleum based solvent-free adhesives/green adhesives for applications in the rubber to fabric, rubber to rubber and rubber to metal applications.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the Post- Doctoral programme. The selection of the candidate will be based on a personal interview by a Committee of experts. The applications received will be scrutinized, screened and shortlisted for the interview. Successful candidate, if found suitable, stands a chance to be absorbed on a regular position by the industry on completion of the programme.

Number of positions: One

Essential qualification: M. Tech. with Ph D in Polymer Technology/ Rubber Technology/ Plastic Technology. Candidates who have submitted the thesis but degree not awarded can also apply.

Desirable Experience: Research/industrial experience in Materials processing/Polymer processing/ Adhesive development/product development as part of academic or industrial projects.

Fellowship: Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated) for candidates with a PhD and Rs. 35,000/- per month (consolidated) for candidates who have submitted the thesis but degree not awarded. On award of the doctoral degree, the fellowship will be raised to Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated)

Duration : Two years

Age limit: 35 years as on December 25, 2021. Age relaxation up to 5 years may be considered for Women and SC/ST/OBC / Physically Challenged candidates
