Applications are invited from the interested candidates for one temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under Department of Science and Technology (DST) – Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Empowerment and Equity Opportunities for Excellence in Science Award, Govt. of India, sponsored project entitled “Development of Five-Level Inverter Fed Direct Torque and Flux Controlled Sensorless Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drive for Torque Ripple Minimization in Hybrid Electric Vehicle”, The project duration is 3years.

Name of the Position & Number of Posts: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) & 01-post.

Essential Qualification:

First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on 10-point scale in B.E/B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

and

First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on 10-point scale in M.E /M.Tech. in the specialization of Electrical Drives and Control/Power Electronics/Power Electronics and Drives/Industrial Drives and Control/Control System. The candidate must have M.Tech. through GATE (or) a valid GATE score (or) GATE Qualification.

Desirable Qualification:

Analytical and experimental activities during M.E/M.Tech. for the development in power electronics based system with concluding understanding, knowledge and experience with technical software/tools (MATLAB/SIMULINK, PSIM, SNSYS, etc) for simulation studies and dSPACE/FPGA/Micro/DSP controllers for the implementation of control techniques.

Fellowship (Consolidated):

Rs. Rs.31,000/- pm for 2 years and ₹35,000/- pm for the 3rd year. House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per Institute rules.

Complete application with the supporting copies of certificates should be sent as hard copy by post to the address mention below with a superscription on the envelope APLLICATION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SERB-EEQ) and a softcopy of application with supporting documents should be sent by email to tramesh.ee(at)nitandhra.ac.in so as to reach by 19.07.2019. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email/institute website by 22.07.2019. Shortlisted candidates will have to report for written test and/or interview on 26.07.2019 (Tentative) at 9:30AM in the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Andhra Pradesh.

Selection Procedure:

The candidates will be selected through written test and/or interview.

Note:

1. Candidates who are already employed should produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer and students should provide provisional degree certificate or its equivalent at the time of interview. The selected candidate is expected to produce a Relieving Certificate from their employer or provisional degree certificate in case of students and join the duties within a week after intimation of their selection else it would be offered to a candidate in waiting list.

2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

3. The selected candidate is eligible to register for PhD degree at NIT Andhra Pradesh as per institute rules.

4. Decision of Director NIT Andhra Pradesh will be the final in all respect.
