Round 3 of the New India Foundation (NIF) Translation Fellowships will open for applications on August 1, 2025. This initiative aims to bring significant knowledge texts from various Indian languages into English, aligning with NIF’s mission to promote scholarship on Independent India and expand access to valuable Indian-language works. The fellowships will support the translation of non-fiction texts published from 1850 onwards, with awards granted across ten Indian languages.
