Ph.D. Admissions

    Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kurnool is an Institute of National Importance, established in 2015. It is fully funded and managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is aimed to become a Centre of Excellence for pursuing Design and Manufacturing oriented Engineering Education and Research domains. As on date, the Institute is offering 3 B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. In addition, five Ph.D. programmes, which includes Mathematics, Physics and three engineering specializations are being offered. From the Academic Year 2020-21 onwards, 3 M.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Data Analytics and Decision Sciences, Electronic System Design, and Smart Manufacturing are going to commence.

     Interested and eligible candidates shall forward their application in the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of their Educational and Experience certificates, online Fees payment receipt in an envelope super-scribing of “Application for Ph.D. Admission in the Department of _________________” to the following address.

Application Fee:

1. GEN/OBC candidates: Rs.500/-
2. SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs.250/-

    Candidates need to pay application fee only through online mode and the procedure is given in Annexure ‘C’ of the advertisement. Application fee once paid is non-refundable.

Research Programs

The Institute offers full-time Ph.D. programs in the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics.

Qualifications

The candidate should possess a:

1. Master’s/ M.S. (by Research) degree in Engineering/ Technology in the appropriate branch of study with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or CGPA ≥ 6.5 (out of 10) in UG and PG.
2. Candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology with an exceptionally good academic record will be considered for admission to the Ph.D. program given they have a valid GATE Score.

Selection Procedure

Eligible candidates possessing the minimum educational qualifications and satisfying additional criteria set by the institute from time to time only will be called for test and/ or interview. Based on the academic record and the performance of the candidates in the test and/ or interview, the selection committee will finalize the names of candidates for admission to the Ph.D. program.

How to Apply?

Gen/ OBC candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/- while SC/ ST/ PwD candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs. 250/-. To download the application form, click here.
