Indian Institute of Technology Ropar invites applications for M.Tech programme in the Departments of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering for Academic year 2020-21.

Biomedical Engineering , Specialization : – Biomedical Engineering ; Eligibility : – A bachelor’s degree in engineering (BE / BTech), with a minimum of 60 percent marks (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10) and a valid GATE score. Relaxation for SC/ST candidates as per GOI rules,Or A master’s degree in science (MSc / MS), or equivalent, with a minimum of 60 percent marks (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10) and a valid GATE score. Selection will be based on the GATE performance for the year 2018/2019/2020. Please note that the candidates are required to register on “Common Offer and Acceptance Portal” (COAP) 2020 (http://coap.iitm.ac.in) before applying online to the Institute. You are required to look at COAP Website for all round of the offers.
Financial Assistance – GATE fellowship at the rate of Rs. 12400/- p.m. (tenable for a maximum period of 24 months) will be awarded to Indian Nationals doing the M.Tech. Programmes, subject to Institute rules. They are required to assist the department for 8 hours of work per week related to academic activities of the department such as laboratory demonstration, tutorials, evaluation of assignments, test papers, seminars, research projects etc.
Reservation of Seats- Seats are reserved for Indian National under the categories, SC/ST/OBC (Non- creamy layer) / EWS (Economically Weaker Section and PWD (persons with Disability )according to the Government of India rules.
In all matters relating to admission to M Tech programme, the decision of the M Tech Admission Committee is final.
Last Date for applying online is 20-04-2020. The candidate is required to pay application fees of Rs.200/- for GEN/OBC/EWS category and Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PWD.

4. Select state–Punjab
5. Select Educational Institute–IIT Ropar
6. Select the option for payment category:
a) M.Tech. application fees for admission AY2020-21(GEN/OBC/EWS)
b) M.Tech. application fees for admission AY2020-21(SC/ST/PWD)
7. Pay the requisite fee.
8. Write the DU no./Transaction id and date on the online application form.
