About the Program
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is a leading graduate school of management in Asia. Under the IIM Act of 2017, IIMB is an Institute of National Importance.
IIMB has around 107 full time faculty members, more than 1200 students across various degree granting programmes and nearly 5000 annual Executive Education participants.
Our logo carries a proclamation in Sanskrit, तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु (tejasvi navadhitamastu), which translates as ‘let our study be enlightening’. Our vision is to be a global, renowned academic institution fostering excellence in management, innovation and entrepreneurship for business, government and society.

Our degree granting programmes comprise the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), the Master of Management Studies (Public Policy), the Master of Business Administration – one-year fulltime, the Master of Business Administration – two years (weekend), the Master of Business Administration – two years fulltime, and the Master of Business Administration (Business Analytics) – two years fulltime.
We offer the NS Ramaswamy Pre-doctoral (NSR Pre-doc) Fellowship, as a Certificate programme, with the aim to increase social diversity of management academia in India.

The EPGP admission process starts with the submission of the online application form.
The basic criteria for applying to the programme include
Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Applicants from SC ,ST and PwD categories should have a minimum of 45% or equivalent CGPA.
Minimum 5 years (and preferably less than 12 years) of work experience as on March 31, 2020,after completion of graduation
A valid GMAT or GRE score.

Round 2 November 29, 2014 and November 28, 2019
Please note that the IIMB EPGP code for GMAT is Q9H-KK-84 and for GRE is 1675. Use these codes to have your score sent directly to IIMB. Your official score report from Pearson/ GMAC (for the GMAT) or ETS (for the GRE) will be used for verification.
A Statement of Purpose (SOP) that enables the applicant to highlight his / her future goals and achievements
Two references (on-line), preferably one from the current employer or from an individual who is in a position to evaluate the applicant’s performance on the job.
Applications that are complete in all aspects and qualify in terms of the minimum academic and other criteria specified above are evaluated for being progressed to the next stage in the admission process. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview.
The interview panel will consist of two faculty members of IIMB and an IIMB alumnus. The interview panel will evaluate each candidate’s performance in terms of quality of work experience, diversity, leadership qualities, social sensitivity, and multi-facetedness. As a general approach to selecting a candidate to the programme, a multi-factor model is used. These factors include academic track record, GMAT/GRE scores, quality of work experience, performance in the interview and writing ability test. A composite total score will be calculated for each applicant using the multi-factor model. A merit list is prepared based on the composite total score. The offer of admission will be made to a certain percentage of applicants in the merit list. The number of offers made will depend on the availability of seats. The number of offers will be further subject to the candidate meeting a minimum cutoff in terms of the composite score and / or for any other factor score that the admissions committee may decide on.

The Institute will follow reservation for EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PWD in accordance with the law.
