About ICAST
School of Mechanical Engineering under the aegis of Lovely Professional University is organizing an International Conference on Advances in Sustainable Technologies (ICAST) from November 6 to 7, 2020. Globalization provides all-around development and this development is impossible without technological contributions. Hence, this conference aims at providing a leading forum for sharing original research contributions and practical developments in the field of Mechanical Engineering so as to contribute its share for technological advancements.
Objectives of the Conference

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Prospective authors from India and abroad are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the conference.
- Submissions must include title, abstract, author affiliation with email address and keywords.
- Paper should be submitted as per template.
- The paper should not contain page numbers or any special headers or footers.
- Length of the paper should not exceed 8 pages. However, authors can extend it to maximum 12 pages with over length page charge of Rs.1000 per page or USD 25 per page.
- Literature reviews/survey papers will only be considered if they present a new perspective or clearly benefit the field. To be published, such papers must go beyond a review of the literature to define the field in a new way or highlight exciting new technologies or areas of research.
- All submitted papers will be subjected to a “similarity test” by Turnitin Software.
- Papers achieving a 15% similarity score will be examined and those that are deemed unacceptable will be rejected/withdrawn without a formal review.

Registration process would be online only.
Note: Minimum one registration is mandatory for the paper to be the part of proceedings. If author/co-author wishes to attend the conference and require separate proceedings and certificate along with the conference kit, in that case the author/co-author need to pay full registration fees individually. Accommodation could be arranged in guest house of Lovely Professional University or nearby hotels as per the availability, on payment basis for which the organizers will provide necessary assistance if informed well in advance..

Accommodation and Transportation
For outstation participants, paid accommodation in the LPU campus is available on request. However, the request for accommodation should be sent to icast@lpu.co.in at least 7 days prior to the conference.
