Notification for Entrance Examination/ Direct Admission to Ph.D. Programme for the Academic Year-2019-20 Applications are invited from eligible candidates including candidates exempted from Entrance Test for admission to Ph.D Programme for the year 2019-20.

Eligibility for Admission

1.1. Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Masters Degree recognized as equivalent to the Masters Degree of Kannur University, with at least 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 –point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

1.2. Candidates who are doing their PG final semester may also apply for the Entrance Test and they must produce proof of having passed the examination with required criteria before the completion of Course Work Programme, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

1.3. A relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade shall be allowed to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy-Layer) and Differently-Abled Persons and other categories of candidates as per the decision of university / State Government from time to time.

Procedure of Application

Application can be submitted online from 15.02.2019 to 08-03-2019 through Kannur University website(www.kannuruniversity.ac.in)
