Refund Rules

The Schedule of refund of fees will be as follows as per UGC rule October 2018:

If a student chooses to withdraw from the program of study in which he / she is enrolled, the institution concerned shall follow the following five-tier system forthe refund of fees remitted by the student.

4 50% 30 days or less, but more than 15 days, after formally-notified last date of admission (i.e 2nd August 2020 to 16th August 2020)
5 00% More than 30 days after formally-notified last date of admission (i.e from 17th August 2020 onwards)

In case of (1) in the table above, the deduction will be 5% of the fees paid as processing charges from the refundable amount, subject to a maximum of Rs 5,000/-.

This Handout gives information about the Admission Procedure and Admission Test for 4-year B. Tech. & 5-year MBA Tech. programmes for the academic year commencing from 07th July 2020. Admission for these programs is through NMIMS-NPAT 2020.

Specialization will be allotted at the time of admission counseling based on merit. Note: NMIMS reserves all the rights to alter number of Specialization at any point of time.

4. Eligibility criteria (fulfilling all /applicable conditions mandatory)

4.1 Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from recognized board including International Baccalaureate Diploma with English as compulsory subject with science or vocational science, minimum 50% marks in PCM for Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Indore/ Hyderabad campus & 45% marks in PCM for Shirpur campus. Those awaiting their 10+2 or equivalent examination result this year may also apply AND candidate with IB Diploma is eligible only if he / she has offered Mathematics at Higher Level (H L)

OR

Candidates passing Diploma Engineering with Minimum 50% is eligible to apply.

4.2 A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Certificate with PCM Compulsory & Maths at HL) & DP awarded candidates with 24 credits compulsory and has passed 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL) with minimum (12 credits) and 3 subjects at Standard Level (SL) with minimum (9 credits) mandatorily from any stream.

4.3 Candidates of CBSE & ICSE should mention in online registration / e-admission form (if selected) 10th /10+2 or equivalent aggregate marks of all subjects for which candidate has taken & appeared for (not best of Four, Five, Six or Seven). The candidates shall have passed all the subjects taken & appeared for in the applicable examination/s. The aggregate percentage of all subjects for which the candidate has taken & appeared will be taken into consideration & PCM %for confirming eligibility of the candidate for the program.

4.4 In case the mark sheet issued by the applicable Board / Institution is in percentile/s, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects appeared by the candidate will be taken into consideration.

4.5 Candidate above 25 years of age are not eligible to apply.

4.6 For IB & Cambridge Candidate: Candidates called for admission counseling on the basis of NMIMS-NPAT merit list & who have not received final marksheet till then will be given Provisional Admission based on predicted score. Fees will be accepted from such candidates but their admission will be confirmed only on submission of final marksheet before the commencement of the program if found eligible.

4.7 Submission of AIU equivalence certificate to confirm the eligibility for the program is mandatory for those candidates who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from overseas board/Universities

4.8 Those candidates who have passed, or, are appearing for 10+2 examination from a Board / University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board / University concerned, the equivalent percentage for the GPA/CGPA obtained.

4.9 Candidate whose final marksheet is not available at the time of admission is required to upload internet copy of result duly attested by Principal of the school / college, failing which candidate will not be admitted.

4.10 Only single marksheet with all compulsory subjects taken and passed in one attempt is mandatory, no compartmentalized marksheet/swill be considered.

4.11 Candidate will not be eligible if any subject is marked as ungraded / fail in the marksheet / grade sheet. For absent / Ungraded in any of the additional / non mandatory subject will be consider as eligible provided such candidates is declared as pass by respective board.

4.12 Candidates appearing for their final 10+2 or equivalent examination can also apply, provided they obtain the required minimum cut off marks and also produce all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.

5. Admission Process

5.1) Online Registration & Payment of Registration Fee

• Visit www.nmims.edu or www.npat.in for online registration. Candidates are requested to keep 10th roll no. /seat no. ready for initial registration. It is mandatory to give 10th roll no./seat no. for registration.

• Registration Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

• Candidates are given choice to register for multiple programs / schools by paying fees for both days.

• Online Registration Fees for a single day: For NMIMS-NPAT 2020 (Please refer online registration for payment details)

– Rs. 1800/-plus applicable taxes for all programs of one school.

– Rs. 3000/-plus applicable taxes for all programs of two different schools.

– Rs. 4000/-plus applicable taxes for all programs of three different schools.

– Rs. 5000/-plus applicable taxes for all programs of four different schools.

– Rs. 6000/-plus applicable taxes for all programs of five different schools.

– Rs. 7000/-plus applicable taxes for all programs of six different schools.

– Rs. 8000/-plus applicable taxes for all programs of seven different schools.
• After the successful registration; the candidate will get options to choose both days separately (i.e. 9th & 10th May 2020) for NMIMS-NPAT 2020 online test. Thus, the fees would have charged as per school opted and date of examinations accordingly.

• Candidate who opted a school among the Engineering Category on first day of NMIMS-NPAT, will appear for Non-Engineering category schools on next day only and vice-a-versa.

• Option of date once chosen cannot be altered later / after successful completion of registration and payment.

• Candidates who have attended test in same (Engineering / Non-Engineering) category on both the days, highest scores in same (Engineering / Non-Engineering) category will be considered for merit list as per choice of school & preferences given.

• If there are multiple / duplicate registrations, then registration for NMIMS-NPAT will not be considered & registration fee will be forfeited.

5.2 Instruction for uploading photo:

1. Photos should be in .jpeg format, and dimensions should be 200 pixels tall and 150 pixels wide. Size should not exceed more than 200 kb.

2. Photoshouldhaveeitherwhiteoralightlycoloredbackground.

3. Eyes should be open and clearly visible.

4. Photo should have candidates face distinctly visible, straight and at the center. Shoulder tops should be also clear in the photo. Photographs should not be more than 6 months old.

5. Photos where candidate is seen to be wearing cap or goggles will be rejected.

• Candidate will be given option to choose two test cities at the time of online registration which is applicable for both days if candidate has opted fortest for both days.

• Online registration form will be editable for restricted fields only i.e. addition in school/program, date of examination and change of test city, Changes will be applicable for both days if candidate has opted for test for both days. Last date for changes in above field will be 26th April 2020. Changes will not be accepted from 27th April 2020 in online registration form.

• In case adequate numbers of candidates have not registered in any of the particular centers, such candidates will be informed to take the exam at the next available nearest center/ place which will be mentioned in the admit card. The NMIMS decision in this regards will be final.

11 Important instruction

• Candidates will be offered Programme/Campus based on the availability of seat, candidates merit rank, choice.

• Changing of branch and campus will be considered as per preference, merit rank and availability of seat after the admission granted to particular branch/campus till course commencement only.

• Change of campus & program is not allowed after commencement of the program

• If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her in the application form is incorrect, his/her admission to the course, even if selected, will stand cancelled and fees will be forfeited.

• Canvassing in any form for admission will disqualify the candidate.

• For cancellation/ withdrawal of admission: Withdrawal / cancellation means voluntary withdrawal / cancellation by candidate for any reason. Candidate should email at admissioncancellation@nmims.edu, the soft copy of admission cancellation form duly filled and signed (form available on www.nmims.edu & https://www.nmims.edu/students/, fee paid receipt copy & cancelled cheque (personal account only).

• Candidate’s documents will be verified at the time of admission (if selected) & if found not eligible, admission will be cancelled and fees will be forfeited

• NMIMShasfull rightto disqualify a candidate at any stage of admission process if found ineligible.

• It is the sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification forthe admission to the courses at NMIMS.
