About the Nirma University

Nirma University is one of India’s leading universities based in Ahmedabad (Gujarat). The University was established in the year 2003 as a Statutory University under a special act passed by the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act. The University is duly accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). The University is ranked first in the State of Gujarat by the State Institutional Ranking Framework (SIRF)-2019 and ranked in the band of 101-150 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the country

Institute of Technology

The Institute of Technology, Nirma University, established in 1995, is a leading hub of education, offering multidisciplinary undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes in engineering. It is known for its excellent teaching-learning pedagogy, state of the art infrastructure, progressive curriculum and discipline. The Institute is ranked 136 by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF-2019) making its mark amongst four thousand plus engineering colleges in the country. The Institute figures in the top 15 self-financed colleges in the country and amongst top 3 in the state as positioned by top rated ranking agencies. All the Under Graduate programmes have undergone the National Board of Accreditation process under Tier-I category

Admission Process

Eligibility

The Candidate must have passed qualifying 12th Examination with Physics and Mathematics with (Chemistry or Biology or Computer or Vocational Subject) from a single board with the minimum percentage of marks as decided by the Government of Gujarat (GoG) under the rule of admission

Govt. Seats-ACPC

These seats will be filled in by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC, GoG). Candidate must apply to ACPC, GoG, separately. For eligibility and admission process, please visit the website of ACPC: http://www.jacpcldce.ac.in

All India Seats

Candidate must register and apply online on the Institute website. These seats shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and secured an All India Rank in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2020

examination.

NRI / NRI-Sponsored Seats

Candidates have to separately fill-up the online application form for NRI/NRI-Sponsored category on the Institute website.

For NRI Candidate

For NRI-Sponsored Candidate

Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from a school located in India (including Gujarat State) and secured an All India Rank in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2020 examination.
The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located abroad are exempted from appearing in the JEE (Main)-2020 Entrance Examination. The candidates having NRI status, but passed the qualifying examination from a school located in India, have to secure an All India Rank in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2020 examination to apply in this category.
