About the Program

 

 

Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET), established in 2001, is a private self-financing college, which had been affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala from the 2001 to the 2014 admissions, and is affiliated to the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technological University, Trivandrum, Kerala from the 2015 admissions onwards. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Five UG programmes, i.e. B.Tech. Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, B.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering, B.Tech. Electrical & Electronics Engineering, B.Tech. Electronics & Communication Engineering, and B.Tech. Information Technology, have been granted provisional accreditation by NBA for 3 years w.e.f. July 2014.

 

RSET is an endeavour of the Sacred Heart Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) – the first-ever indigenous religious congregation for men in the Syrian Catholic tradition of Christianity in India. The CMI congregation, canonically established in 1855, played a major role in revolutionizing the education scene in Kerala in the late 19th century. Heirs to the profound vision of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, one of the founding fathers of the congregation, the CMIs’ have zealously worked towards providing value-based quality education to society at large, irrespective of religious differences, down the centuries. Today, the congregation has more than 400 educational institutions, from schools to professional colleges under its umbrella.

 

Eligibility for Admission

 

Nationality:-Candidates must be Citizens of India.

 

Academic Requirements

 

For M.Tech. COME : At least 60% marks in BE / B.Tech in ECE/AEI/AE/ETCE

For M. Tech. CSIS : At least 60% marks in BE / B.Tech in CSE/IT.

For M. Tech. IDAC: At least 60% marks in BE / B.Tech in EEE.

For M.Tech. NE: At least 60% marks in BE / B.Tech in CSE/IT

For M. Tech. VAES: At least 60% marks in BE / B.Tech in ECE/AEI/AE/ETCE

More than 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the B.Tech. relevant degree examination. If the results are not declared marks upto 7th semester will be considered.

At the time of submitting the application, candidates should have passed in all semesters of B.Tech/B.E degree examination upto seventh semester.

Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission.

1) They must have valid GATE score.

 

2) A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination.

 

At the time of submitting the application, candidates should have passed in all semesters of B.Tech/B.E degree examination upto seventh semester.
