Notification (Ph. D. admission under ADF Scheme)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Ph. D. under ADF Scheme in the School of Engineering, Tezpur University for the academic year 2020-2021. The departments offering Ph. D. under AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) scheme are Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy, Food Engineering and Technology and Mechanical Engineering.

Fellowship

The Fellowship will be Rs. 31,000/- per month for the first two years followed by Rs. 35,000/- per month for the third year. HRA will be provided as per the Government of India (GoI) regulations.
Contingency grant of Rs.15, 000/- per annum will be admissible to the Scholars.

No. of Fellowships: 11 (eleven).

Eligibility Criteria

1. The candidate must have secured minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.5 on the scale of 10 (or minimum 75% marks) or equivalent at both Bachelors and Masters. In addition to
above, the candidate should have qualified GATE/NET during the last 5 years.

2. For SC/ST/PH candidates, CGPA requirement will be 7.0 on the scale of 10 (or 70% marks) or equivalent.

3. The candidate should be less than 30 years of age as on date of admission in respective Technical University. However, age relaxation of 5 years would be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST, women and physically challenged category in succession.

4. Reservation of seats will be as per Govt. of India rules.
