The National Science Olympiad for students from Standard III to XII will be held on November 29, 2007.

The student who comes first at the all India level in the junior category will receive a laptop and a gold medal. Those who come second and third will receive silver and bronze medals along with a personal computer each. In the senior category (Standard IX to XII), the first rank will receive Rs.51, 000 and a gold medal and the second and third ranks will receive Rs.31, 000 and a silver medal and Rs.21, 000 and a bronze medal respectively.

Top 500 ranks will receive cash prizes. Awards for the best school, best teacher and best principals will be given to selected schools and teachers, in 23 zones across the country. Schools will be the centres for Olympiad.
