National Youth Award 2007
The Union Government has invited nominations from youth in the age group of 15 of 35 and non-governmental organizations (NGO) for National Youth Award 2007 to be presented on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda on January 12. According to an official release, youth and NGOs who are involved in social welfare activities and development of the country are eligible to apply. Application forms can be had from the District Sports Office. It should be submitted by June 30 along with three copies of proposals. It should contain details of the work done by them from April 1, 2006 to March 31, 2007.
Individuals applying should not belong to any State or Union University and should be doing work with altruistic motive. Selected 25 individuals would receive Rs.20, 000 certificate and medal. NGOs should be registered and involved in work with altruistic motive. They should submit certified photographs and reports of work they had done for proof. Selected organization would receive Rs.1 lakh.
