ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM)
(Two Year Full Time Residential Programme Approved by AICTE and AIU)
IIFM is a top level sectoral management school imparting managerial competence in forests, environment, development and allied sectors. Eligibility Criteria At least a three year Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD [Persons with Disability}) or equivalent CGPA [Cumulative Grade Point Average]. Candidates appearing in final year of degree examination in 2010 can alsoapply provided they complete it before June 30,2010.
Reservations As per the Govt, of India rules, 15%, 7.5% and 3% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates respectively. 27% reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates belongingto the "Non Creamy" layer will be implemented by IIFM In a phased manner.
Fees IIFM provides high quality education at reasonable cost and the total fee for the entire program is Rs. 3,00,000 for General/OBC and Rs. 1,80,000 for SC/ST candidates.
Admission Procedure
• Apply and appear for CAT 2009 online examination. IIFM will use CAT score only for short-listing the candidates, IIMs have no role either in the selection process or In theconduct of the programme.
• Apply to IIFM separately by obtaining information bulletin and the application form personally or by post by sending a demand draft of Rs. 900 (Rs. 450 for SC/ST) drawn m favour of 'Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management'. Candidates should keepa photocopy of the bank draft as it would be required at the time of filling uptheform.
• Alternatively, the form can be downloaded from the website of IIFM and the filled in application form along with the requisite fee mentioned above should be sent to IIFM.
• Alternatively, the forms can be obtained from the following coaching institutes i) IMS Learning ii) PT education iii) Career Launcher. Candidates procuring the form from the coaching centres should enclose the photocopy of the cash receipt issued by the coaching centre.
• GDand interviews for short-listed candidates wili be held at IIFM, Bhopal during February/March 2010.
