Admission Notification
A University, announces admission to its following programmes starting August 2008.
1. Undergraduate Programmes:
B. Tech Programmes (4-Years) in:
a. Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
b. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
c. Communication and Computer Engineering (CCE)
2. Graduate Programme:
M. Tech Programme (2-Years) in Communication and Computer Engineering.
The Institute is a Deemed University declared by Government of India under section 3 of the UGC Act. It is a public-private-partnership venture of the Government of Rajasthan and the Lakshmi & Usha Mittal Foundation.
The B. Tech, admissions will be through the Central Counseling of the AIEE conducted by the Central Counseling Board of the MHRD (refer http://www.aieee.nic.in for details).
For M. Tech admissions, a candidate has to apply to the Institute. Candidates with B. Tech or equivalent degree in Communication Engineering/ Computer Science, or M. Sc in Electronics/ Computer Science, or MCA may apply (refer http://www.lnmiit.ac.in for details).
Last date for receiving applications for M. Tech admissions is April 20, 2008.
LNM Scholars:
The Institute has several vacant positions of ‘LNM Scholars’ which are to be filled urgently. Suitable candidates are requested to send their Biodata to the address given below by May 01, 2008.
Qualification for Eligibility:
(i) M. Tech/ B. Tech in Electronics, Communication, Computers or equivalent subjects.
(ii) M. Sc Physics with Applied Electronics.
Nature of Work:
(a) The Scholars will be required to help the faculty of LNM IIT, Jaipur in setting up modern laboratories in analog and digital Electronics, Communication, Computers and digital library and for helping in the conduct of classes and laboratories.
(b) The Scholars will be encouraged to prepare for higher studies in Engineering and Technology. Candidates having B. Tech/ M. Sc degree may do M.S (by Research) and those with M. Tech degree may work for Ph. D while working as LNM Scholar.
Opportunities:
LNM Scholars are second-tier of the academic backbone, after the faculty, of the Institute. Opportunity prepares them to move upwards through additional qualification. They are encouraged to submit research papers for conferences in India and abroad for which Institute financial support is available.
Amount of Scholarship:
In the range of Rs.6, 000 to Rs.10, 000/-
Residential Facilities:
Suitable accommodation in hostels will be provided to desirous candidates.
