ONE POSITION FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW

Defence Terrain Research Laboratory(DTRL), a premier research Laboratory under the Defence Research & Development Organisation, is looking for a bright & motivated person for the position of Junior Research Fellow.

1.No.of Fellowship : One

2.Qualifications Essential :

M.Sc. with 1st division in Earth Science/Geology/Soil Science/Geography/Geophysics or equivalent.

Desirable: Knowledge of Remote Sensing / Image Processing / GIS.

3.Age: Maximum 28 years as on lst date of receipt of application (5 years relaxable for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)

4.Stipend :Rs.8,000/-(fixed) per month and contingent grant of Rs.10,000/- per annum,HRA,Leave(causal only), Medical facilities will be as admissible as per rules of DRDO

5.Duration: Initially for a period of two years.

Typed application with complete bio-data and a recent passport size photograph along with a crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs.10/-(Rs.ten)drawn in favour of Director,DTRL,should reach the Director, DTRL,Metcalfe House, Delhi - 110 054 within 21 days of publication of this advertisement (SC/ST and OBC candidates are exempted from payment). Those having qualified NET/GATE examination will be prefered. Candidates working in GOvt/Public sector undertaking autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel.

JRF's will be encouraged to register for Ph.D degree. However, the Fellowship does not confer on Fellows any right for absorption in DRDO. However,JRF's will be encouraged to register for Ph.D degree.All candidates will be required to produce certificates/testimonials in original at the time of interview.Those having qualified UGC/CSIR/GATE examination shall be preferred.
