DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY (DBT) invites requisitions from companies interes?ted to provide six months practical industrial training to the students of bioinformatics under the BIITP. The programme is being implemented by Biotech Consortium India Ltd. (BCIL). The companies would have no obligation towards any payments to trainees. The companies would be paid bench fee to cover expenses towards training. Companies will find it to be an effective mechanism to select suitable prospective manpower. Companies are requested to send their requisitions online latest by 9th December 2014. For details and "Requisition Form" please visit www.bcil.nic.in/biitp2014-15/index.asp. The requisition form is to be filled online.

DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY (DBT) invites online applications from students of bioinformatics for practical industrial training in bioinformatics and biotechnology companies for a period of six months. Stipend of Rs. 10000/- per month will be paid to candidates placed for training. The objective of BIITP is to provide industrial exposure to bioinformatics students to improve their job prospects.
Eligibility
B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./M.Tech./Advanced post-graduate Diploma in Bioinformatics (minimum 1 year) completed in the year 2013 or 2014 with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
How to apply?
The application form available at www.bcil.nic.in/biitp2014-15/index.asp is to be filled online only. To complete the application procedure, the following documents are to be sent to Mr. Manoj Gupta, Deputy Manager, Biotech Consortium India Limited, 5th floor, Anuvrat Bhawan, 210, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi-110002:
* Copy of the system-generated acknowledgement of the application form submitted online.
* A demand draft of ? 250/- in favour of "Biotech Consortium India Limited" payable at New Delhi towards a non-refundable application fee. Please write your Application ID, Name, Date of Birth and Mobile No. on the reverse side of the demand draft.
* Self-attested photocopies of marksheets and certificates of highest degree/diploma.
In case of post-graduate diploma, marksheets/certificates of graduation/post-graduation also need to be attached.
* Important Timelines
a. December 9,2014 : Last date of receipt of online applications.
b. December 12,2014 : Last date of receipt of documents.
c. December 23,2014 : List of candidates shortlisted for interview will be displayed on website.
d. January 1-16,2015: Interviews for final selection of candidates.
e. January 23,2015 : List of candidates selected for training will be displayed on website.
f. February, 2015 : Tentative time of commencement of training.
