ATTENTION
IN 1913, DR. BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR UNDERTOOK A HISTORIC JOURNEY TO COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY, NEW YORK FOR HIGHER STUDIES IN GRATEFUL COMMEMORATION OF THIS, BARTI INVITES APPLICATIONS FROM SCHEDULED CASTE CANDIDATES FOR AWARD OF M.PHIL./ PH.D. FELLOWSHIP.
DR. BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR NATIONAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS (BANRF)
In 1913, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar undertook a historic journey to Columbia University, New York for Higher Studies. In grateful commemoration of this, BARTI launched Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Research Fellowship (BANRF). For the year 2015, BARTI invites applications from Scheduled Caste candidates of Maharashtra State for the Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D. Fellowships. The fellowships are open to Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates belonging to Maharashtra, who wish to pursue regular and full time M. Phil and Ph.D degrees, in any subject, from Indian Universities / Institutions / Colleges approved under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act and in Non-Universities/Institutions.
NUMBER OF FELLOWSHIPS:
* Year 2015 marks 102nd year of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's historic journey to Columbia. In commemoration of this,
* One Hundred and Two (102) M.Phil. / Ph.D. fellowships will be awarded this year. This number may increase or decrease.
RESERVATIONS:
? 50% fellowships are reserved for SC women candidates.
? 3% fellowships are reserved for SC persons with disability.
HOW TO APPLY:
Eligible and interested candidates may send their applications in the prescribed format downloadable from website https://barti.maharashtra.gov.in (click on NOTICE BOARD >BANRF - 2015). The candidate should enclose attested copies of all necessary documents along with the duly filled application and Research Proposal including concept note containing research details, etc. in about 2000 words and send by Registered Post to the Director General, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research & Training Institute, 28, Queen's Garden, Camp, Pune - 411001.
Completed applications along with all necessary documents and research proposals as mentioned above should reach the above office on or before 11th May 2015.
