Students interested in research in biological chemistry, computational biology, disease and stress biology, molecular microbiology, cell and developmental biology, crop genetics, metabolic biology and molecular plant pathology may apply for Ph.D programmes with John Innes Centre / Sainsbury laboratory in Norwich, United Kingdom.

Six Studentships are available beginning October 2006. The Last Date for applications is January 17, 2006

The centre is also offering four-year rotation studentships for Ph.D programmes in plant and microbial sciences.

Three-Year and four-year Ph.D Studentship programmes are offered on specific projects in research areas.

The programme directors are : Professors Keith Roberts, david baulcombe and Nick Brewin. the stipend for 2005 - 2006 is 15,000 pounds a year.
