Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) invites applications for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) tenable at Space Physics Laboratory (SPL) of VSSC from motivated candidates below the age of 28 years, as on 09.07.2007, possessing First Class M. Sc Degree and with an aptitude for research.

Space Physics Laboratory (SPL), VSSC:

Space Physics Laboratory (SPL) conducts basic research in different disciplines of Atmospheric and Space Sciences. The disciplines include Boundary Layer Physics, Physics and Chemistry or Aerosols, Clouds and Radiation, Atmospheric Dynamics, Upper Atmospheric and Ionospheric Physics, Planetary Atmospheric Physics etc. Well-equipped laboratories and major experimental facilities have been built exclusively for carrying out research in these fields. The selected students will be working in the areas of Atmospheric and Space Sciences under the guidance of Senior Scientists of SPL on projects, which would lead to a Ph. D Degree. Selected candidates should be willing to work anywhere in India (including remote places) and on ship cruises to collect the required data.
