ADMISSION TO DIPLOMA IN NURSING COURSE FOR 2008-2009 SESSION.

Applications are invited for admission to Diploma in Nursing Course for 2008-2009 Session from the eligible Women candidates.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age and should not have completed 30 years as on 31.12.2008. SC/ST candidates can apply upto the age of 35 years.

2. OC, BC, BCM and MBC Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary conducted by the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary State Board/any other equivalent Board with aggregate marks of 40% in any subjects (excluding Tamil and English) are eligible to apply. 5% relaxation is permitted to SC / ST candidates.

Candidates should have studied Tamil as the First Language and English as the Second Language.

(3) Candidates requiring the Application and Prospectus for Diploma in Nursing Course for 2008-2009 Session can obtain the same on payment of Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (Rs. Two Hundred only) drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai in the following Nursing Training Centres. The Demand Draft should have been issued by any of the Nationalised Banks only and dated not earlier than 10-12-2008 and should be payable at Chennai.

4. SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of the cost of application on production of attested copy of community certificate.

5. Application and Prospectus also can be obtained from the web-site (http.: www.tnhealth.org.) and submitted to the Selection Committee along with Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai-10. SC/ST candidates are exempted from submission of the Demand Draft.

Sale of Application From 10.12.200810.30 A.M. To 20.12.2008 upto 3.00 P.M.

Last Date for submission of the Application to the Secretary, Selection Committee. Upto 5.00 P.M. on 20.12.2008

6. The women Candidates who desire to get the application through Post, can obtain the applications at any of the Training Centres mentioned in Para (3) by sending the postal stamps to the value of Rs.60/- (Rs. Sixty only) with self-addressed envelope along with the Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) being the cost of application, drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai-10. SC / ST candidates need not send the Demand Draft, but they have to send attested copy of community certificate.

7. All the details regarding the selection are given in the Prospectus.

8. Completed applications should reach the Secretary, Selection Committee, 162, E.V.R. Salai, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 on or before 5.00 P.M. on 20.12.2008.

9. Application forms and Prospectus will not be issued from the Directorate of Medical Education and Selection Committee office at Kilpauk, Chennai - 10 either in person or by post.
