JOINT ADMISSION TEST TO M.Sc 2005 (JAM 2005 )
JAM 2005 will be held on May 7 & 8, 2005 at 36 centres in the country.
PROGRAMMES : Admissions to two years M.Sc. programmes at all IIT's (expect M.Sc. Mathematics & M.Sc Physics at IIT Guwahati), three years MCA & M.Tech. in Applied Geology / Applied Geophysics at IIT Roorkee and M.Sc. PhD. Dual Degree in Physics at IIT Kanpur, for the session 2005-06 shall be made through JAM 2005
TEST PAPERS: JAM 2005 will have eight test papers, namely : Biotechnology, Chemistry, Geology, Geophysics, Mathematics,MCA,Physics and Statistics, each of 3 hours duration. The Biotechnology and MCA Test papers will be fully Objective type while the other papers will be Objective-cum-Subjective type. A candidate can appear at the most in two Test Papers on payment of additional fee, subject to the restrictions of Test Schedule
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION: A candidate is required to qualify in the corresponding Test Paper and must also satisfy the minimum educational qualifications & eligibility requirements as specified by the admitting Insitute. Reservation of seats for SC/ST and PH category candidates will be as per Gol rules.Candidates appearing in the final examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to appear in JAM 2005.

APPLICATION FORM & INFORMATION BROCHURE can be obtained on payment of application fee of Rs.500/-( Rs.250/- for SC/ST), during January 17, 2005 to March 7, 2005, from 66 designated branches of Canara Bank in the country. The application material can also be obtained by Post from JAM Office, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai - 400 076, by sending a request, along with a self-addressed slip and a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.550/-( Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates), drawn in favour of Organising Chairman, JAM 2005 payable at Mumbai, which must reach IIT Bombay, latest by February 25, 2005.
ONLINE REGISTRATION facility shall be available from January 17, 2005 on www.iitb.ac.in/jam
LAST DATE for receipt of completed Application Form / Online Registration Form at the Organising Institute (IIT Bombay) is March 7, 2005.
