The applications on typed on plain paper in the prescribed format in duplicate,duly completed in all respect are invited from Indian Nationals for the award of limited number of fellowships offered by the NORAD(Norwegian Government) for Master/M.Phil courses in the following subjects forthe academic year,2005.

(A) Master in Management of Natural Resources and Sustainable Agriculture(MNRSA): (Duration: Four Semester starting in August 2005 to June 2007)

Place of Study: Noragric Centre for International Environment and Development Studies, Agricultural University of Norway.

Admission Requirements: Candidates should have atleast a Bachelor's degree with 60% or more marks in aggregate in agriculture,biology,forestry,wildlife or in social sciences.

Age: between 25-33 years as on 18.10.2004

(B)M.Phil in Gender and Development: (Duration: Four semesters starting from August 2005 to June 2007).

lace of Study: Centre for Women's and Gender Research, University of Bergen , Bergen Norway.

Admission requirements: Applicants must normally have completed a 3 year first Degree (Bachelor's Degree) or its equivalent with 60% of marks in aggregate including a concentration of course work corresponding to 1 and 1/2 years of full-time study in a field or subject of specialization relevant to gender and/or development issues.

Age: between 25-35 years as on 18.10.2004

(C) Master in International Community Health: (Duration : Four semesters starting from August 2005 June 2007)

Place of Study: Department of General Practice and Community Medicine,Medical Faculty, University of Oslo.

Admission Requirement: Candidates should have Bachelor's degree with 60% marks in aggregate. Priority will be given to students already selected by collaborating institutions. Any already established link to such programmes should be mentioned in the application. English language skills documented by either TOFEL test (min 550 points) or IELTS band 6.0

Age: between 25-35 years as on 18.10.2004

(D) Master in Special Needs Education:( Duration: Four semesters starting from August 2005 to may 2007)

Place of Study: Department of "Special Needs Education,University of Oslo, Norway.

Admission Requirement:

* A bachelor's degree or equivalent with 60% of marks in aggregate (at least three years beyond the Norwegian minimum requirement for matriculation) in Special Needs Education or other relevant subject. OR

* A qualified teacher's training certificate followed by a minimum of one year's full time university circumstances other relevant qualifications, must have been approved as equivalent to the level of a Bachelor's degree. English languageskills documents by either TOFEL test(min 550 points) or IELTS (band 6.0)

Age: between 25-35 years as on 18.10.2004

Candidates would apply for the above fellowship on a plain paper with a recent passport size photograph, furnishing the details/particulars indicated in the accompanying format to the Section Officer, Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Secondary &Higer Education) Scholarship Division, ES.5 Section, A-2/W-4, Curzon Road Barracks, kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi - 110 001 by 18th October,2004.

N.B: Candidates can apply on line through Department's website. However, the hard copy of the application alongwith enclosures(attested copies of certificates, marks-sheet etc.,) must be furnished to this Ministry latest by 21.10.2004 otherwise online application will not be entertained.
