USRA Scholarship Funds and Research Prize

The USRA Scholarship Opportunities

We will begin accepting applications for the 2008-2009 USRA Scholarship Funds and Research Prize in early 2008.

About the USRA Scholarships

The University Space Research Association (USRA) annually makes awards from four scholarship funds aimed at undergraduate students who are interested in space related research and careers. Three of the scholarships are memorial scholarships, that honor scientists and engineers who have been associated with USRA. These are the:

* Thomas R. McGetchin Memorial Scholarship

* John R. Sevier Memorial Scholarship

* James B. Willett Educational Memorial Scholarship

The USRA Education Scholarship is a general space-related scholarship that receives its funding from donors and friends of USRA who support undergraduate science and engineering education.

Each of these scholarships is a $1,000 highly competitive one-time award that is given to the student who best represents the goals and mission of USRA and its scholarship donors. Successful past recipients have come from many academic disciplines but all have demonstrated the academic achievement required for the scientific workforce of the future, and a passion for space exploration research or space-related education. Application materials and requirements for these can be found here.
