SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Spring Semester Programs

A variety of scholarships may be awarded by KIIS to students presently attending schools that are full members of the KIIS consortium.

One or more scholarships may be awarded from an endowed fund established to honor the years of dedication and service given to KIIS by Milton and Inger Grimes. The amount of the scholarship(s) will vary.

Two scholarships (one per each spring semester program) in the amount of $750 are available for award.

Thanks to the generosity of Javier Escobar, a loyal benefactor in Segovia, Spain, two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 may be awarded to participants in the Spain spring semester program.

To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:

* Be currently enrolled at an institution that is a full member of the KIIS consortium.

* Have a COMPLETE program application submitted to the KIIS office by the program deadline.

* Be returning as a student to the member institution during the academic year following the semester with KIIS.

* Have accrued at least 30 semester hours of college credit by the end of the fall semester preceding the program.

* Demonstrate financial need by having a financial aid officer complete the attached financial aid statement or, if not receiving financial aid, by preparing a personal statement regarding need for financial assistance.
